A few months ago retail giant Target unveiled their new menswear house brand Goodfellow. The label focuses on tried and true staples like henleys, top coats, chinos and dark denim. Think of it as a poor man’s J.Crew…and by looking at some of the media they released, it appears as if that’s exactly what Target was going for with this line.
I decided to stroll through a local store recently and I really liked what I saw. Goodfellow can be an excellent alternative for the budget minded gent looking for go to staples. Of course the quality is nothing to write home about but at these prices I think it’s very good. I ended up leaving with a few henleys and a sport shirt.
So as is tradition in the Modest Gent Picks segment I dove into the Goodfellow catalog and found a few gems that I really liked. No trends or fast fashion here. Have a read and let me know what you think!
