You spend your hard earned cash on new suits, dress shirts, oxfords, and sneakers. And just like a new car, laptop, or whatever shiny new toy you just bought a minimum amount of maintenance is required if you want your gear to function and look as good as possible.

 1. Shoe Trees 

Cedar shoe trees are a must for a few reasons:

• They help your shoes maintain their shape and prevent excessive creasing

2. A Shoe Horn

Remember as a kid when you would just slide your shoes on in a hurry and just flatten the heel? That was a great way to destroy those K-Mart Trax mom just dropped $14.95 on. Please stop doing this.

Like we mentioned above about the hangers I suggest that you replace all your stays. It’s too cheap, too easy and will pay big dividends:

• Your collar will stay nice and crisp
• The metal won’t allow your collar to collapse under the weight of a suit or sport coat.
